The Danger Zone
When the school bells rings at 3pm every day in the United States, as many as 15 million children leave school with no place to go. The critical three hours of a child’s life between 3:00PM and 6:00PM are deemed “The Danger Zone” by law enforcement. During this window of time, many of these at-risk youth may become victims or perpetrators of crimes, join gangs, or experiment with drugs, alcohol or unsafe sexual activity.
At After-School All-Stars, we believe that children with no place to go end up going nowhere and children with some place to go end up going places, in school and in life. This is the guiding philosophy behind our After-School Programs & CampUs Summer Programs.
